For Asset Owners

What is Lucett Portfolio?

Lucett Portfolio brings information about your valuable assets together in one place. Photographs, descriptions, documents, condition records and movement history stay connected to each asset, helping you manage your collection across homes, storage locations and moves.

Is Lucett only for art collections?

No. Your Portfolio can include furniture, lighting, decorative objects, memorabilia and other valued possessions alongside artworks. It is designed for the things you want to keep a record of, whether their importance is financial, personal or both.

How does a Lucett tag work?

A Lucett RFID tag gives an asset a unique identity linked to its digital record. A compatible RFID reader allows an authorised user to identify the asset and access its information. The tag itself does not store your personal details or the asset’s value.

Does Lucett track my assets continuously?

No. Lucett uses passive RFID tags, not GPS trackers. Location information is recorded through scans and operational updates. Your Portfolio shows the last recorded location and available movement history, rather than a continuous live position.

Can I manage assets across several properties?

Yes. Lucett brings assets across different homes, storage locations and other recorded destinations into one Portfolio. You can maintain an overview of your collection while retaining the individual details and history of each piece.

Who can see information about my assets?

Access is controlled through permissions. Your Portfolio is not a public catalogue. Information can be shared with authorised people involved in caring for or managing your assets, such as your representatives, transporters or insurers.

What happens to the record when an asset moves?

The record remains connected to the asset. When a participating transporter records a collection, condition check, storage event or delivery in Lucett, that information can become part of its history. The completeness of the record depends on the updates made by the people involved.

Can I keep condition reports and insurance documents in my Portfolio?

Yes. Documents and photographs can be held alongside the relevant asset, making them easier to find when arranging a move, reviewing condition or discussing insurance. With appropriate authorisation, relevant records can also be made available to your insurer. Lucett does not itself provide insurance cover or valuations.

Can someone manage my Portfolio on my behalf?

Yes. Authorised representatives, such as a family office or collection manager, can work with your Portfolio according to the access they have been given. This allows the people looking after your assets to maintain records while keeping access controlled.

Does Lucett get involved in what my transporter charges me?

No. Lucett does not come between you and your transporter on the price of the work they do for you. What you agree with them remains confidential between the two of you.

For Transporters

What counts as a live asset?

A live asset is an asset that has been interacted with within the last 30 days, such as being scanned or entered into Lucett. An asset does not count as live simply because its record remains in the system.

What counts as an operational event?

Operational events are counted per asset or component of an asset, at each stage of the work. These include collection, warehouse handling in or out, warehouse on-site work, delivery and stocktaking.

For example, collecting ten single-component assets counts as ten operational events. Recording a warehouse handling-in for each adds another ten, and a warehouse on-site operation for each adds ten more: 30 operational events in total. For assets with multiple components, each component is counted separately.

What happens if I reach my plan’s limits?

Lucett will prompt you to upgrade to a plan that accommodates your activity.

Can I bring my existing records into Lucett?

Yes. You can import your existing records, and we can assist with the import if required.

What equipment do my handling teams need?

You’ll need at least one compatible tablet. In practice, we recommend one per operational team and one for the warehouse.

You can purchase your own compatible scanners or tablets. Devices must be registered in Lucett’s database before they can operate with the platform.

Are RFID tags, cards and scanners included?

Tags and cards are consumable items, purchased separately on behalf of your clients. Scanners and tablets are also purchased separately.

Does every asset need an RFID tag?

No. Non-tagged assets can operate within the system, but traceability and item history are limited.

Can I change my plan as my business grows?

Yes. You can change your plan as your team, workload and business needs grow.

You can also move to a lower plan, including free Access. Give notice at any time. The change takes effect at the end of the first full billing period that begins after we receive your notice. Your current plan and its charges continue until then, with no part-period apportionment. After the change takes effect, the lower plan’s pricing, features, allowances and restrictions apply.

If your use exceeds the lower plan’s limits, new information will not be saved. A downgrade may restrict access to existing records, but does not itself delete them. You can request retained records, subject to verification of your entitlement to receive them. Upgrading later does not automatically restore your previous account view. CRM and Bid Board end automatically if you move to Access.

Can I keep working with my existing agents?

Yes. Lucett is open to all agents, and we welcome them to the network. Keep working with the people you trust and invite them to join you on Lucett.

Does Lucett get involved in what I charge my clients?

No. Lucett does not come between you and your clients on the price of the work you do for them. What you agree remains confidential between you and your client.
